Nano Cellulose is one of the highly researched topics among top researchers in the academia. The Marcus Wallenberg Prize was awarded to two of the researchers’ making scientific breakthroughs in the early days of research on nano-cellulose. This surely has inspired both further research but also application development and commercialization efforts.

The webinar looks back onto what has been achieved since the Prize was awarded to Dr Derek Gray for his pioneering study on nanocrystalline cellulose in 2013 as well as ground-breaking work on TEMPO mediated oxidation of cellulose fibres by Akira Isogai, Tsuguyuki Saito and Yoshiharu Nishiyama which was awarded in 2015.
